In order to use Vintone home phone service, you will need an Analog Telephone Adapter (ATA). Vintone provides you with the required ATA, which you could rent for a small monthly fee or purchase upfront.

Yes. Vintone service is portable to any location with broadband Internet access. Simply take the Vintone adapter with you when you travel, plug it into any broadband Internet connection and touch tone phone, and you can make and receive calls the same way as when you at home.

Yes. With Vintone's 911 service, your call is sent to a national emergency call centre. You should be prepared to provide or confirm your address and call back number with the operator. Do not hang up unless told directly to do so and if disconnected, you should dial 911 again.

You should ensure your location information that you provided when registered with Vintone is kept current at all times. In case you are not able to speak during the 911 call, the call taker would dispatch emergency response vehicles to your last registered address.

You must update your 911 address information if you move your device to a different location and/or if you add a new line to your account. This can be done from your web portal. For more detailed information about 911 dialing service, please refer to our Term of Service.

Virtual phone number is secondary phone number that rings to your primary Vintone line. Get a Virtual Phone Number wherever your family and friends live and they can call you as local. For example: Let's say that you live in Ottawa where your Vintone primary number has area code 613. Your mom lives in Calgary and her area code is 403. You could get a virtual phone number with area code 403 that rings to your 613 line. Now mom doesn't have to pay long distance charges when she calls your 403 virtual phone number.
